French sensation Marchand breaks Phelps’ 400m medley Olympic record

PARIS, July 29 — French swimming sensation Leon Marchand won the 400 metre medley gold at the Paris Games on Sunday and also broke the Olympic record, previously set by US great Michael Phelps, the German news agency (dpa) reported.

National swimmer Hoe Yean fails to advance to 400m freestyle final

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 — National swimmer Khiew Hoe Yean failed to advance to the final of the men's 400-metre freestyle event at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, today after finishing in 21st place.
